Hope is At the Door

Michael Beck

If Christ you’ve sought, to Him have run
Of this be sure, to you He’ll come.
Hope is at the door.

Though need is great, and time is short
And fears abound, hear one report:
Know Hope is at the door.

While seconds tick, and you must wait
And all you think is: “It’s too late.”
Trust Hope is at the door.

And when things turn from bad to worse
And at your home is dreadful hearse.
Still hope is at the door.

Though many weep and others scream
Keep resting on the Rock you lean.
See Hope is at the door.

Some will laugh and others scorn
That you would trust instead of mourn.
But Hope is at the door.

And when your night has turned to day
And Christ has swept your tears away
Know Hope came through the door.
