Follow Me

Michael Beck

Follow Me – where you would not go
Follow Me – when none else will know
Follow Me – from the womb of the morn
Follow Me – though weary and worn

Follow Me – through the darkest of nights
Follow Me – through the toughest of fights
Follow Me – to the Garden of fear
Follow Me – when the path is not clear

Follow Me – where betrayals await
Follow Me – when the target of hate
Follow Me – up the road to the cross
Follow Me – toward the place of all loss

Follow Me – to the joy set before
Follow Me – to the Father’s own door
Follow Me – into glory above
Follow Me – into nothing but love

“This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.” (John 21:19)
