Where He Leads Me

Michael Beck

“And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.” (Acts 16:10)

The Apostle of our profession was sent by the Father. He did not come to the earth of His own initiative. He did not go to the cross because it fulfilled His own vision. He said: “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.” (John 6:38)

Lambs are led. They don’t leave the fold unless they hear the voice of their shepherd. If they must be in the midst of wolves they have been sent forth. (Matt. 10:16) Though they walk through the valley of the shadow of death they fear no evil, because their Shepherd is with them, and He has led them there. Don’t just go, be sent.
