What Do You Expect?

Michael Beck

“Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.” (Proverbs 13:21)

Even as we expect evil to pursue sinners; we should also expect those who patiently continue in a good way to be rewarded with good things.

God is not unrighteous to forget anything that is done out of love to His Name. Give Him the opportunity to work. Sow to the Spirit and you will reap a harvest in the Spirit. Draw near to Him in truth and watch Him draw near to you. Do the first works and discover your first love for Him rekindled. Don’t be weary in well doing and see the fruits of your perseverance. Continue in prayer. Stay obedient. Grow through it all. Let patience have her perfect work.

God’s eyes are upon those whose hearts are perfect toward Him. Live each day for Him and He will arise for you and show Himself strong on your behalf. He will work in you and outside of you. Expect good things from His hand as you love Him with all your heart. He works all things together for good in the lives of those who truly love Him. Make loving God your first priority. All else will fall into place and turn out beautifully if He is first in your life.

Our Father in heaven wants to be involved in your life to the max. But if you exclude Him He will let you reap what you sow. Become as passionate about Him as He is about you. You have a God who wants to reveal Himself as your God. Let Him know by the way you live that you are His faithful and beloved child.
