“Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand” (Psalm 149:5,6)
The enemy is a lion who goes about looking for one he can devour. He will use anyone or anything he can to discourage or destroy us. We cannot be ignorant of his devices. We must be a step ahead of him. We must know that we wrestle not against flesh and blood.
As surely as Satan sought to bring Job down through adversity, he would cause us to lose heart. Don’t let your adversary triumph over you. Serve notice on him that you know what he is up to, and you’re going to bless the Lord at all times and have His praise continually in your lips. Let Satan know that he is your enemy and not the people around you. You will not curse them, or the day you were born, or the day you got married, or the day you had kids, or any day of any year. This is the day that the Lord has made, you will rejoice and be glad in it!
Create such an atmosphere of praise and thanksgiving around you that the devil can’t stand your presence and has to take a hike.
