“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help … Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God” (Psalm 146:3,5)
It is a fact, a sad and tragic fact, that has proven true in the history of the world and every individual in it: those who put their faith in man, in any man, will be disappointed.
It is also a fact: those who put their trust in the Lord will never be disappointed. Though it may seem so for a time, that God has let you down, it is not true. He will come through for you if you don’t cast away your confidence in Him.
Wait on Him, and be of good courage. You will yet praise Him.
