“Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.” (Joel 3:14)
There is a spiritual “showdown” coming. Sides are now being drawn.
Those who love Christ want to reflect His image. They would be obedient to the Father in all things even as His beloved Son was. They have no confidence in themselves to become who God wants them to be. All their hope and trust is in Jesus to become conformed to His image.
Those who follow the god of this world love his image. Lucifer created the template for self-actualization. His mantra is “be yourself.” His message inspires human beings to trust in themselves to fulfill their desires and realize their own destiny. He is the champion of SELF-worship.
As this age winds down, these two spirits – the spirit of Christ and the spirit of anti-Christ – will vie for men’s hearts and minds. Seducing spirits have already infiltrated the church of Christ causing many to turn from the true gospel, which is the power of God to change us into the image of Christ, toward a false “gospel,” which is about our potential to become who we want to be. A rebellious, ungodly world and a compromised, corrupted group of false believers are now joining forces against the Lord and His Christ. They will hate all who truly love the Lord Jesus Christ and the formation of His image in their lives.
These are consequential times. They are preparatory. The voices we now listen to will determine whether we stand fast with the Lord of glory or are swept away with the world-wide delusion that is around the corner.
Don’t be on the wrong side of history and eternity. Iniquity is abounding. Don’t let your love for the Lord Jesus Christ and His image grow cold.
