Strong Confidence

“He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him …” (Psalm 145:19)

If you fear God, He will fulfill your desires, in the right way and at the right time. If you don’t trust God, you will forsake His fear and move in your own mind and strength to fulfill your desires. God wants those who fear Him to have a strong confidence that He is looking out for them. “In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.” (Prov. 14:26) He wants them to know that the goodness He has stored up for them is great. “Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!” (Psalm 31:19) So abundant is God’s provision for those who fear Him that He encourages them that they shall not want any good thing. “O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.” (Psalm 34:9)

Fear entering an evil path to obtain a good end. Those who walk in the fear of the Lord not only hate evil, but they hate an evil way. “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.” (Prov. 8:13) Let God bring to pass all that He has for your life. Make it your chief concern to walk in the fear of God. You can then be confident that He will abundantly take care of everything else.
