Shaped by the Potter’s Hand

Michael Beck

“But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.” (Isaiah 64:8)

Don’t worry if your life isn’t aligning with what men say is supposed to be. God knows where you are, why you’re there, and where He wants to take you. Don’t become the “workmanship” of any man. Don’t let their ideas mold and shape you.

God’s truth sets us free; the doctrines and traditions of men bind, confine, and misshape us. If you would be taught of God there is plenty to learn of Him and grow in. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. He is a wise potter, and He wants you to be His easily molded clay.

Humble yourself under His mighty hand. Be His workmanship. In the end, you will rejoice if you have been the work of His hands, and no one else.
