“And I gave her space …” (Revelation 2:21)
How does God get a hold on a heart that is not ready to surrender? He waits until it is broken and hurting and desperate enough to seek repair. He gives us time and “space” to see what we need to see. He waits until we are ready to stop playing the fugitive, running from Him and attempting to run our own lives.
We have what God has freely given us. God has what we have freely given Him. No heart is in God’s possession that has not been voluntarily surrendered. He takes what we give Him. Let Him take hold. Let Him repair. Let Him control. It’s the best decision you will ever make.
