“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son …” (Hebrews 1:1,2)
Don’t let anyone tell you that God is silent. God has spoken. He has gone on record.
“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” (1 John 5:11,12)
The Word that was with God in the beginning, who was and is God, was made flesh and dwelt among us. The Father, though the Son, has declared Himself. (John 1:18) We can behold God in the face of Jesus Christ. We can hear God through the words and works of Jesus Christ. God is permanently on record. The Word is forever settled in heaven.
Will you examine God’s record? Will you “get the facts” for yourself? Will you let God speak for Himself? Then pick up His Word – determined to discover the One whom God has sent. Jesus said: “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” (John 5:39)
Know this: God has not spoken to simply inform us as to where He stands. He has revealed Himself that we might know Him. He is not merely interested in enlightening us; He wants to enliven us. Believe God’s report and live eternally!
“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” (John 17:3)
