Obedient to the Heavenly Vision

Michael Beck

“I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision …” (Acts 26:19)

Have you gotten your marching orders from the Lord or from men? God’s clear vision and call over your life will keep you from envy and strife; discouragement and weariness. What others do or don’t do will not matter. Your hand is on the plow and there is no turning back. There is a work to be finished and a Master to answer to. There is no time to be looking to the left or right.

Peter was called to feed his Master’ sheep. What did it matter what John was doing. “Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.” (John 21:21,22)

Consecrate yourself to God and His service. Double down on what heaven has laid out for you to do. If it is not clear yet, learn to be faithful in serving others and their vision. When you can be faithful in what belongs to another; God will give you your own vision to be faithful to. (Luke 16:12)
