“… They refuse to know me, saith the LORD.” (Jeremiah 9:6)
Rejection need not destroy us. On the contrary, it can be the very thing that causes us to find solace in God’s embrace and healing in His fellowship. Do not suffer alone. Draw near to Him and let Him draw near to you. Know that He, above all, knows how you feel. He felt it before you. He knows what it’s like to be “cut off.” He has seen more of men’s backs than their faces. He is the greatest sufferer, and for all that He remains the greatest lover. He loves when He is not loved. He seeks when He is not sought. He gives when He does not receive. Knowing Him causes us to become like Him. Though all refuse to know you, do not refuse to know Him.
