Hope For the Hopeless

Michael Beck

“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” (1 Timothy 1:15)

Jesus truly is the hope of the world.

He can forgive our past; enter our present; and give us hope for a different future.

No matter what we have inherited from our fathers or experienced in our upbringing, He can empower us to break the cycle and pass on a godly heritage to our posterity.

No matter what choices we have made or consequences we bear because of them, He can save us from the crushing weight of shame, regret, and despair.

He can give us hope that it is still not too late to leave something of value and benefit to those who know us.

Those who have never failed rarely inspire others. People who have not felt shame or sorrow or sickness do not give damaged, struggling souls hope.

But all those who have met the Great Physician and are on the blessed road to recovery give hope that every broken life can be repaired and no one is too far gone, no matter what their past has been.
