God’s Way Through the Wilderness

Michael Beck

“Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy. Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.” (Psalm 86:1,2)

The wilderness is God’s proving ground. It is a dangerous place because Satan would exploit our want and offer us a way of escape that is not of God.

In the wilderness, one dies or lives; perishes or is preserved. We are preserved blameless, (spirit, soul, and body,) in the wilderness of want by keeping every word God would speak to us. “… Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” (Matt. 4:4)

God has a way for us to walk through the harshest wilderness. Pay close attention to all He would say. Obedience is the key. God knows the way you take. Come forth as gold tried in the fire!
