“But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.” (1 Thessalonians 2:4)
The validation of men is deceptive. Don’t think for a moment that your actions are right or wrong based on the reactions of people. You may have done or said what is utterly wrong or false in the eyes of God and men may stand up and cheer. You may say or do exactly what is right and true in God’s sight and they may crucify you.
Paul said if he still pleased men he could not be a servant of Christ (Gal. 1:10). Seek only one thing: to have God’s “green light” in all your works. That alone is success and will one day be rewarded by the only Righteous Judge.
