“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.” (1 John 1:3,4)
We want to worship together with others. We love when others love what we love. There is a satisfaction in joint adoration. There is deep enjoyment in hearing others extol what we ourselves have found praiseworthy.
People love to assemble with those who share their passions and interests. Together they explore the intricacies of their devotion. There is a bond and connection they feel because of their communion with the same beloved object. Real fellowship exists where there is shared enjoyment.
The disciples fell in love with Jesus. The Son brought them into a true worship of the Father. Their joy in knowing both Father and Son was immense. How could they not want others to know such complete joy? And so they spent the rest of their days wanting to introduce others to this sublime experience.
