“I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” (Psalm 27:13,14)
Waiting on the Lord is reaching to Him with a stedfast gaze and hope. It is a position of faith and trust that God will come through for you. Though all is presently dark there is confidence that light will come. We wait on God knowing that He is not slumbering or sleeping. Though nothing has changed in our situation we believe that God is “hard at work” through our prayers. He is orchestrating an answer that will be His doing and marvelous in our eyes. He will give us a song of praise and thanksgiving. He will reward our faith and patience with a great recompense of reward.
