Chaff vs. Wheat

Michael Beck

“The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD. Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?” (Jeremiah 23:28,29)

Only God knows what we all are supposed to be doing. Avoid playing God with the lives of others. Preach the Word!

Let it instruct and correct those who have ears to hear. If the shoe fits, the willing will wear it. The hammer God gives us will always hit the nail on the head. Our own hammer misses wide of the mark, and does more damage than good.

Tremble before you speak pointedly and prophetically over another. We will give an account to God for every idle word we speak. No one needs our chaff. The best place for our two cents is in our pocket. Speak as God’s oracle, or be dumb.
