Be Who He Wants You to Be

“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.” (Deuteronomy 22:5)

The accelerated outrageousness of our day is quite shocking, but there is nothing new under the sun. “Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.” (Eccl. 1:10) Why should we be surprised? In fact, isn’t what we’re now seeing the logical progression of the unholy philosophy, “Be whoever YOU want to be”?

Paul wrote that the mystery of lawlessness was at work in his day, and would continue to work until one man, the personification of lawlessness would appear. (2 Thes. 2:6-8) This man, who is antichrist, will oppose and exalt himself above all that is called God. (2 Thes. 2:4) He will epitomize this “be whoever you want to be” spirit, declaring: “I am God!” Defiant rebellion against the Creator and His order is about to find its fullest expression. The man of Lawlessness will champion a worldwide movement to finally break free from any imposition of heaven’s rule. The masses are now being prepped for his arrival.

He who sits in the heavens laughs at the audacity of this utopian project. (Psalm 2) The Lord Jesus, who first came to establish God’s order in the heart, is about to return to set that order throughout the whole earth. Prepare for His arrival. Be wearing the clothing He has given you. Be all your Creator has created you to be – nothing more, nothing less.

A new world is coming, just not the world many are envisioning.
