When Help is On the Way

Michael Beck

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:3)

Knowing we need help is the first huge step toward getting help. But, it is only a step toward seeking help; it is not actually finding that help.

If we are to get the help we need, we must first believe that God has it for us; and then believe we will find it if we diligently seek Him for it. “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Heb. 11:6)

Even when we are still without that help we can rejoice when we know we are seeking God. “Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.” (Ps. 105:3,4)

Those who have proven God in the past and found Him to be faithful can trust Him for today’s needs. They know He will come through for them. They know He has never let them down. They know help is on the way.
