“Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?” (Psalm 94:16)
Take a stand! Stand for righteousness! Stand against unrighteousness! Don’t be selective. Don’t stand against some evil; stand against all evil.
Hate the evil that would want a place in your own heart and life as much as you hate it anywhere else. Hate the subtle sins like bitterness, envy, and pride as much as you hate the more obvious ones.
The fear of God is to hate evil and pride. (Prov. 8:13) Walk in the fear of God that hates all evil. Make sure this hatred is aimed first at any departure from God’s way in your own life. Don’t see the speck of wrong in the eye of another when you don’t see the beam in your own eye.
Take a stand against every form of wickedness, wherever it is found! Desire to be everything God wants you to be. Make no compromise with sin of any kind. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. Be the light of the world. Be the salt of the earth. Don’t be known as a hypocrite.
Lord, raise up Your people to fulfill their call as a holy nation, those whom You have called out of darkness and into Your marvelous light! May they show forth Your glory and virtue. May they model in their own lives the way You would have all men to be. Through them work conviction and repentance in the earth. Through them call men back to Yourself!
