“Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee … Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness …” (Ezekiel 28:15,17)
Lucifer apostatized. He once loved God. He once worshipped God. But then he fell in love with himself and his love for himself became greater than his love for God. His self-admiration caused him to seek God’s throne. But descent followed ascent. His fall continues and his next stop will be the abyss.
When any creature becomes untethered from God their descent into evil knows no bounds. They become capable of the unimaginable. Hell was not created for man, but for those angels who chose self-love over love for God. All who follow their lead must and will be contained with them forever.
