“And I sought for a man among them … but I found none.” (Ezekiel 22:3)
The fulfillment of God’s good pleasure in the earth is not dependent on man. If God would have waited for man to get on board with Him, He would have waited forever. We read: “And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me” (Isaiah 63:5)
Not only does God not depend on man to fulfill His own purposes, but men cannot stand in the way of Him getting His will done. “… I will work, and who shall hinder it?” (Isaiah 43:13) God needs only Himself to subdue all things unto Himself (Philippians 3:21). He knows how to bring His own will to pass. The eternal purpose of God flows like rushing water in the earth and no resistance of man can prevent it from reaching its final destination.
We are unlike God in that we don’t have the power in ourselves to bring our will to pass. We often blame our failures on others and their unwillingness to support us. But if God is for us who can be against us; and if God is with us, who else do we need? When we are full of the Spirit of God, He will work in us to will and do of His good pleasure. Who shall prevent us from reaching His destination for our life?
Mountains move when God is behind an endeavor. No weapon formed against us shall prosper when we are fighting God’s battles. But if God Himself stands in our way, it does not matter if an army stands with us, we will fail miserably. Team up with God. He is all you need for true success.
