“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
A downcast prisoner asked me: “When it says that God works all things together for good does that include the wrong things I have done?” My answer was an emphatic yes. All things mean ALL things. No, we are never to do evil that good may come. (Rom. 3:8) But if we have done evil and repented of it, and if we now love God and are the called according to His purpose, He has promised to work even all of our past together for a good that goes beyond our comprehension.
God’s ability to redeem is greater than our ability to mess up. Don’t underestimate Him.
