“There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?” (John 6:9)
Don’t mourn over not having more to give to God. He will only hold us accountable for what He’s given us – whether little or much.
Make good use of what’s in your hand, even if it’s small. Make good use of the strength you have, though it’s limited. Make good use of the time you have, though it quickly slips away. The little you have becomes much when placed in the Master’s hand.
Honor God with the firstfruits of all your increase. He deserves the best part of your day, the peak of your strength, not the leftovers. Redeem the time you’ve been given because the days are evil. The night is fast coming when no man can work.
And when your earthly days and strength are gone, rest peacefully, knowing that your life was well spent on the God who gave it to you.
